Source: Robert Budman Soldier in War of 1812, was a Fifer in Capt. Absolom Martin's company, Ohio Militia. Applied for a land bounty 1850 when living in Deersville, Harrison Co., Ohio; granted in 1855 when he was living Milnersville, Guernsey Co., Ohio. He gave the land grant to his son Washington Milner, who transferred it to Daniel Bishard West and as this man traveled west (?) to locate the land, the river boat that he was on collided with another on the Ohio River sank, and the original land warrent lost. In 1871 Edward Milner applied for a pension, died before it was granted, but "the balance due was paid to the 7 adult children."
Edward married Elizabeth Randell, daughter of Unknown and Unknown, on 25 Dec 1806 in Belmont, Ohio, USA. (Elizabeth Randell was born in 1789, died on 10 Sep 1870 in Washington Twp., Guernsey, Ohio and was buried in New Peolli Cemetery, Tuscarawas, Ohio.)
