McVEY.\emdash On Fifth-day, Eleventh mo. 16th, 1882, in Morgan co., Ohio, Reuben McVcy, in the 83d year of his age. And on Third<iav, Third mo. 21st, 1882, Betsey McVey, wife of Reuben McVey, in the 72d year of her age.
After an exemplary wedded life of 55 years, they took their departure from earth and its trials, to the home of their ripened spirits, leaving to the families of their seven sons and three daughters an example of humility and meekness.

Reuben McVey was born in Lancaster County, Pa., Oct. 30, 1800. In 1826 he came to Morgan County and settled on Section 23, Marion Township. He was married in the same year to Betsey Kennard, who was born in York. County, Pa., in 1811. Both died in 1882.
Reuben married Elizabeth Kennard, daughter of Eli Kennard and Catherine Michener, on 8 Feb 1827 in Athens, Ohio, USA. (Elizabeth Kennard was born on 3 Feb 1811 in Newgarden, Chester, Pennsylvania and died on 21 Mar 1882 in Ohio, USA.)
