Frances Vane
Believed to have come to America in 1677. After her first marriage to Edward Kewkewich of Minhincot, Cornwall with whom she had come to Cornwall, she became a Quakeress. It was her money that enabled her second husband, John Grubb, to purchase land in America. Source "A Geneology of The Beeson-Beason Family in America" by Mickey Elliott. Frances married John Grubb, son of Henry Grubbe Jr and Wilmont Unknown, on 10 Mar 1675. (John Grubb was born on 20 Apr 1652 in Stoke Climsland, Cornwall England, died on 10 Mar 1708 in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware, USA and was buried in St Martins Churchyard, Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania.) |
