June (Shaull) Lutz 1988, History of the Op den Graef/Updegraff Family, p. U-175. Moved to Independent City, Winchester County, Virginia before 1788. By 1801 had moved into Jefferson County, Ohio. He was a member of its Territorial Convention which wrote the constitution for the state. Died 3 February or 3 March 1827 near Mt. Pleasant. Quaker.
